Community Service for Money Launderer

Community Service for Money Launderer

GH was accused of money laundering just shy of £1m in respect of a prostitution ring. In the face of overwhelming evidence it was felt that he should plead guilty. Quentin negotiated a basis of plea with the Crown Prosecution Service that meant that he admitted to money laundering only £1,000. He sentenced to a suspended sentence community service order.  Guidelines suggest that a sentence of 5 years imprisonment could have been passed for the offence on its full value.
