Quentin’s client avoids jail in Death by Dangerous Driving case

Quentin represented Miss SR who was charged with death by dangerous driving contrary to section 1 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. The charge was brought following an accident on an A Road in Wales on Christmas day. Unfortunately, SR fell asleep behind the wheel of her motor vehicle and collided with a gentleman who was changing the wheel of a stranded motor vehicle. Tragically, the gentleman died of the injuries that he sustained.

The prime aim for the client in this tragic case was to avoid going to prison and Quentin immediately started working towards that aim on behalf of his client. At the end of the sentencing hearing the judge agreed with Quentin’s submission and handed down a suspended sentence of imprisonment. Quentin’s client was obviously delighted with the result.
